Spring is finally here and April has been a success. On April 11, we held a fundraising event at Louis' that was a huge hit, raising just over $2000 with 100% of the proceeds going to WaterCan. WaterCan is an organization that helps to bring this thing we take for granted to these countries by giving them access to clean water and sanitation. With AVEDA, we are celebrating Earth Month in April by helping to raise money and awareness for countries like Africa that are not fortunate enough to have clean running water and sanitation like us in North America. April 22nd is Earth Day and we will be showing our support by doing a 5km Walk for Water – this represents the distance a woman or child would walk daily to collect water, normally from a river. You can help us by showing your support by sponsoring your favorite stylist or spa therapist or through a donation of $10 which is enough to supply one person clean water for life.
We are excited to announce that Leah and Tyler have completed our training program and are ready to join the rest of the team on the floor to take care of you and your hair. We have also added Lancy and Brandon to our team who you will see a lot of around the salon as they will be assisting while they train. The spa is already showing signs of spring with pedicures to show off those toes, waxing to get out those legs and facials to reveal the spring glow that has been waiting for winter to be over! Please book approximately one week in advance to ensure you get to see who you want and get the pampering that you need.
We want to congratulate Kim, Alicia, Mishel and Brianna for being finalists in the categories they entered for the Canadian Hairdresser Awards. We are so happy to have their work represent CHEL salonspa and Saskatchewan. We are proud of you all!!
There has also been an extension to the CHEL salonspa family with the coming of Ryu, Maggie's new baby boy. We wish her and her new family all the best on her maternity leave and already can’t wait to have her back!!
